Newlyweds move into dream tiny home with clever design like a game of Tetris

A newlywed couple have just moved into their uniquely designed tiny home. The house features interlocking rooms that fit together like blocks in the game of Tetris, showcasing a creative and seamless three-dimensional design.

Emily and Alan are basking in the joy of their new life together, having recently tied the knot and settled into their dream tiny house.

Their excitement is palpable as they tour their new home, which features a striking matte black finish and a modern design.

The couple, who got married just a week ago, describes their new home as a dream come true.

Alan reveals that he and Emily have been interested in tiny homes for years, but their journey to owning one has been particularly serendipitous.

โ€œIโ€™ve been looking into tiny houses for about two years,โ€ Emily explains. โ€œI didnโ€™t even know one was being built for us until it was almost finished.โ€

Their path to this moment has been marked by unexpected twists. Alan had been dreaming of owning a tiny house but struggled financially.

After reconciling with his mother, who lives in New Zealand, she gifted him money for a deposit.

Shortly after, Alan received a call from Greg, a builder moved by Alanโ€™s passion. โ€œGreg agreed to build the house without labor costs. It felt like a miracle,โ€ Alan says.

Their connection is rooted in a shared love for tiny houses. Emily and Alan first met at a church event and quickly bonded over their mutual interest.

โ€œWhen we first connected, I knew I wanted to marry him,โ€ Emily recalls. The coupleโ€™s shared vision for tiny living was crucial to their relationship.

Their new home is partially off-grid, with solar panels and a water tank providing essential utilities. Alan describes their setup: โ€œWeโ€™re 50% off-grid with solar power and rainwater collection. Itโ€™s still very sustainable.โ€

The tiny house itself is impressive, measuring 10.5 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, and 4.3 meters tall.

Its design includes a sleek matte black finish and large windows that invite natural light and offer views of the surrounding landscape.

The couple is still working on their outdoor space, but they are excited about future plans, including a balcony deck.

Inside, the house features a well-designed kitchen with ample storage and modern appliances.

A breakfast bar, positioned near a gas-strut window, provides a scenic view of the pond. The kitchen’s storage is described as ample, with every cupboard being soft-closing to minimize noise.

The home includes a comfortable lounge area upstairs, which Alan describes as one of the largest and most plush tiny house lounges heโ€™s seen.

The design allows for a spacious living area, which is a rare find in tiny homes. โ€œThe lounge area, known as ‘The Haven,’ is designed for entertaining and relaxation,โ€ Alan explains.

The bathroom is equally impressive, with a sizable shower and modern fixtures. The couple appreciates the luxurious touch of the rainfall showerhead.

Overall, the tiny house feels like the builder played a game of Tetris. Every space is used cleverly and efficiently.

They are still adjusting to tiny house life but express satisfaction with their new living situation.

โ€œIt feels cozy and like home,โ€ Emily says. Alan adds, โ€œItโ€™s freeing to live in our own space, where we can add our personal touches.โ€

The cost of the tiny house, including solar panels and other features, was approximately $82,000.

Alan praises Greg and his wife Cassie for their generosity, noting that they offered their services for free, which he describes as an extraordinary gesture.

Looking ahead, the couple has big plans for their tiny home. Emily envisions expanding the bathroom to include a bathtub and adding a large deck to the front of the house.
