Innocent Masuku captivated the UK with his rendition of Hans Zimmerโs โNow We Are Free,โ securing him a place in the Britain’s Got Talent final.
Nkululeko Innocent Masuku, 33, originally from South Africa, now resides in London.
He began his singing career at Cape Town Opera, starring in productions like Porgy and Bess.
Innocent furthered his roles by playing Borsa in Rigoletto and Tamino in The Magic Flute.
He received training from esteemed singers such as Maestro Kamal Khan and Willard White.

Innocent is currently employed at Garsington Opera near Oxford.
He has garnered recognition for his talent, including a Merit award in the 2019 SAMRO competition, and support from the Drake Calleja trust and The Tillet Trust fund.
In the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals, Innocent Masuku performed โNow We Are Free,โ impressing everyone with his incredible singing and perfect voice control.
“Now We Are Free” by Hans Zimmer, sung by Lisa Gerrard, is from the movie Gladiator.
“It’s a powerful song with a choir, strings, and drums, and Lisa’s enchanting voice gives it a magical feel.
The melody feels strong yet calming, evoking a sense of freedom and victory.
The song stands out in Zimmer’s Gladiator soundtrack, featuring his talent for enhancing movies with music.
Hans Zimmer, a famous composer born in Germany in 1957, gained recognition for his music in popular movies.

His breakthrough came with “Rain Man” in 1988. He’s known for scoring hits like “The Lion King,” “Gladiator,” “The Dark Knight,” and “Inception,” using innovative instruments and techniques.
Hans has won awards, including an Oscar for “The Lion King.”
Besides movies, he creates music for TV and video games and supports music education, SingersRoom noted.
His impactful music has cemented his status as a top composer today.
Meanwhile, Innocent Masuku effortlessly delivered a mesmerizing rendition of Hans Zimmer’s “Now We Are Free.”
His demeanor exuded both relaxation and regality as he confidently hit each note.

Alesha told Innocent how impressed she was with his powerful performance.
โHow do you sum it up? Youโre the one to beat. Powerhouse! Chills โ I had chills up and down my arm. Mesmerized by you and your talent. Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful,โ Alesha said.
Amanda Holden echoed Alesha’s statement and told Innocent that he’s also her mom’s favorite.
Simon Cowell praised Innocent’s performance and how he handled the song. “You perform like a lead. You know, you have that presence about you, and your control over the songโeverything about it, for me, was immaculate. I’m so happy for you. I wanted you to do well tonight, and you did it,” said Simon.
Judge Bruno Tonioli praised Innocent Masuku for his performance of a song from Gladiator.

โYouโve taken a song from a movie called Gladiator, and you performed it – it was like a triumphant hero!โ exclaimed Bruno who stood up during the performance and continued to stand for the feedback.
Bruno commended Masuku’s control over his singing, describing it as flawless.
During an interview with โThis Morning,โ Innocent was asked if he had ever been told he would never be an opera singer.
Innocent responded, โI was told, โInnocent, you have a beautiful voice, but it’s not good enough to succeed in Europe.โ But now, to be considered the best in 17 years after watching so many contestants before me, it feels unbelievable.โ
