I think you have to find what holds you there. If it's shared bad habits or fulfills a need you have to be belittled start to walk away. The "pros" beating the "cons" is a good barometer.

If you're in a bad fight with someone but they insist on trying to stay in your life somehow, don't throw them away. They are also fighting to remain relevant to you.

i believe you should never, never, never give up on someone you love. You don't have to be involved or insert yourself into their life, if they don't want you there, but you can think positive thoughts about them and pray for them.
