Learning on your own is a unique experience, like navigating the unknown waters with nothing but sheer curiosity and determination.
It shows the human hunger for knowledge and the endless possibilities that unfold when one steers their own learning journey.
In peaceful White Earth Reservation, where you can only hear the stream waves through the air, you can find a piano prodigy named Jayme Littlewolf.

Jayme, 12 has captured the hearts and ears through his amazing piano performances even without formal lessons.
Jaymeโs journey began two years ago when curiosity and desire to make beautiful music inspired him to teach himself how to play.
He learned by playing his younger sisterโs toy piano through online tutorials, said KARE 11.
Despite the toyโs limited keys, the piano prodigy shows natural talent, surprising his parents.
A year later, his mother bought him a basic electronic keyboard as a Christmas gift, allowing him to improve his musical skills.

Jayme said he already had a lot of songs lined up that he wanted to learn.
But an electric keyboard is not enough for the piano prodigy, he wanted a full-sized piano experience.
He would look for pianos he could play along the way during family trips.
โEvery time there’s a piano, I want to play it,โ Jayme says. โIf I look at it, I want to play it. But if I don’t look at it, I still know it’s there, and I still want to play it.โ
Last fall, a digital baby grand piano was delivered to Jaymeโs home.
It came from a man named Brad Riggle who witnessed Jaymeโs amazing talent at a Minneapolis hotel.

Brad said he didn’t know Jayme and he’d never seen him before.
During that time, the piano prodigyโs older brother played for the state high school football tournament and was staying at the hotel.
โI started playing a little music,โ Brad says, โand then, that’s when Jayme and his folks walked in, and he sat there patiently in the back watching me play.โ
The man then invited Jayme to play, and the kid obliged and played a Beethoven.
Brad was surprised to see the piano prodigy playing without a music sheet.
Brad, witnessing Jayme’s amazing talent, recorded a video.

He posted it on social media and gained widespread attention with 6000 views. He later asked the White Earth community to help Jayme.
Donations poured in, allowing Brad to buy the digital baby grand piano at a discount.
In November, Brad brought the piano to Jaymeโs home and set it up.
In his video, Brad said they all came together and got Jayme a gift.

The piano prodigy was surprised, to see the piano in their livingroom.
Since then, the piano has become part of Jayme’s daily life.
Amy said that Jayme plays before going to bed, when he gets home from school, and even wakes up early just to play.
Jayme, the piano prodigy made his debut during Super Bowl Sunday. He performed at Sanford Health WindSong senior living in Bemidji.

The residents listened to the self-taught piano prodigy, applauding his musical gift.
โIโm probably more nervous than he is, but happy and excited for him,โ his mother says.
His performance impressed the audience and some seniors waited for him to thank him and some even handed him tips.

โCan you slip this in your pocket?โ one audience said giving Jayme cash.
The piano prodigy’s path to becoming a piano master shows how determined and good he is at music.
As he keeps impressing people with his music, Jayme, from White Earth Reservation is making an impact in the music world, astonishing people with the gentle touch of his fingers.
