Woman misses flight, but her kindness shines through as she hears crying from bathroom stall

Do you remember the scene from the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” where Chris Gardner (played by Will Smith) and his son had to sleep in a bathroom?

It happened in real life, in a bathroom stall at LAX airport.

There was a Facebook post that went viral in 2021 that keeps inspiring people and is one of the best examples of what kindness can do.

It is about a family in a tough situation at LAX airport and a stranger who helped them.

Cyn Symone encountered a distressed mother after missing her flight to Los Angeles.

Though upset about her own situation, Symone showed compassion towards the mother, who was crying.

“I missed my first flight to LA yesterday & had to catch another; I was so upset. But now I know why !!!! When I finally got to LAX baggage claim, I went to the bathroom to check my little makeup y’all know me,” Cyn shared.

Cyn’s post continued, saying that she heard a woman crying so hard and was contemplating whether she should offer her some encouraging words, but she felt nervous. Moreover, the woman spoke in Spanish, and Cyn wasn’t sure if the crying woman would understand her.

She left the bathroom but kept returning four times while waiting for her bags.

Then, when she returned, Cyn heard the woman say, “The bus doesn’t come until tomorrow.”

Cyn realized how serious the woman’s situation was.

She asked if she had Zelle or CashApp, but she didn’t. So, Symone offered to pay for a hotel until the next day.

The woman stopped crying and opened the bathroom stall door.

Cyn was surprised to find children sleeping on the bathroom floor.

Feeling happy to assist, she took the mother and her children to the Marriott and provided a room.

She also pondered how many people had heard the mother crying without offering help, unaware of the children’s presence.

Cyn said the woman was kind and had young children with her.

She took a photo to show her ride that they should help, and she’d pay for it.

Later, Cyn added a little update to her post, explaining why she shared the photo of the woman and her kids with blurred faces at the airport bathroom stall.

“Yes, I decided to post the photo because when I woke the next morning, I thought to myself, if people only knew the extent of the crying woman in the stall, would they have stopped? & unfortunately, for most, seeing is believing… I hope everyone takes something from this,” the post concluded.

Some people have less than others, and life’s challenges can leave them feeling stuck.

Fortunately, there are still kind people willing to help, especially when others can’t help themselves, according to WELL CLINIC.

Helping others is important because it makes us feel good, builds strong bonds, and tackles tough issues like poverty, inequality, and climate change.

By giving our time and resources to those in need, we can make the world a better place for everyone.

Helping others is crucial for shaping our lives and the world.

It builds connections, gives us purpose, and boosts our well-being.

By lending a hand, we not only make a positive impact but also offer crucial support to those in need.

Additionally, helping others teaches us empathy and sparks a chain reaction of kindness.

Some people face challenges they can’t overcome alone, so our assistance can make a real difference in their lives, reducing suffering and creating a more caring society.

In today’s tough world, people often forget to be kind because they’re focused on themselves and the world’s uncertainties.

But everyone is dealing with similar problems. Being kind and helping others lets us work together to find solutions that help everyone.

It’s important because it builds bonds, makes the world better, and makes us feel happier and healthier.

Truly helping others without expecting anything in return, like what Cyn did with the stranger in the bathroom stall, is both rare and significant.
