The school’s talent show is one of the highly anticipated programs for the students and their parents. It is a wonderful opportunity to for students to showcase their talent and have fun while doing so. The most common performance number is usually singing and dancing.
True enough, witnessing a student perform on stage with an incredible voice is not surprising with the variety of talent students posses. But it is not everyday that you’d get a chance to witness a song performance that can touch and move the heart.
Adam Kornowski, a 4th grade student of Lakeside elementary School gave a heartwarming rendition of Imagine, origInally performed by John Lennon, on May 24 in Chisago City of Minnesota.
A talent showcase which was meant only for a small group of people was viewed and shared by more than 7 million netizens on the social media site of Facebook. When the talented young boy touched the piano keys and started to sing soon after, the audience was immersed to his performance.
“Adam had his all school talent show today. He did Imagine,” Adam’s supportive mother, Michelle Cavarnos Kornowski, wrote and shared on Facebook. “There wasn’t a parent in the room with a dry eye by the end. He got a standing ovation and the applause lasted forever!” She added.
Michelle even shared on her post of an incident in which a woman stopped to tell her that she would buy Adam’s rendition of Imagine on iTunes if it will released there.
The woman also appreciated Adam’s polite bow at the end of his performance. Adam’s talent is not the only remarkable thing about him, his values and manners are spot on as well.
With his beautiful and truly heart-tugging rendition of Imagine, the video of Adam’s performance posted by his mother became viral online. Within just a few days it garnered more than 7 millions of views, likes, and shares. His mother, clearly overwhelmed and happy for the appreciation her son is getting, tried to thank and respond to everyone who left a comment on the video.
However, with pouring of comments, she had a hard time keeping up. “I started out trying to thank everyone who shared it and respond to all the comments, even if just to say thank you. But alas I can’t keep it up. Please know if you liked, commented or shared it we are very grateful,”
Adam’s incredible rendition of Imagine is not his sole performance. Even before, Adam already possess a gift for music, according to Adam’s parents, their son has been playing the piano at a young age of 5.
His other performances posted on his YouTube channel is a must see! His rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah is just as amazing.
