Injured shark asks diver for help by repeatedly nudging up against him

It is special encounters like the one seasoned diver Josh Eccles experienced, which was caught on videotape, that remind us of the natural connection between humans and animals.

Of all the close encounters he had with the mighty creatures of the sea, Josh Ecclesโ€™ remarkable run-in with a large lemon shark is the most alarming.

After all, who wouldnโ€™t be frozen still if a lemon shark, which is known not to attack humans but can still be unpredictable, kept approaching you?

Lemon sharks love swimming in tropical and subtropical waters and can be spotted in the coastal areas of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

This great shark species also has a unique approach to its prey, often stalking its food and waiting for the right moment to attack.

Josh was doing his regular routine of basking in the natural beauty of the sea world when a large lemon shark appeared too close to him. Observing proper precautionary measures, Josh distanced himself to avoid provoking the shark.

However, despite the diverโ€™s numerous attempts to โ€˜get awayโ€™ from the sea creature, the large lemon shark deliberately bumped into Josh.

Through the constant and aggressive nudges of the shark, Josh felt like the mighty sea creature was trying to tell him something.

After all, lemon sharks are known to be aloof around humans. Sensing that the shark was in distress, Josh followed his instinct and took a closer look at the sharkโ€™s belly.

It was then that he realized the shark was asking for his helpโ€”a big hook was hanging out of the sharkโ€™s belly!

Knowing that the odd behavior of the shark was its way of calling for immediate help, the seasoned diver knew that he had to do something. Risking his own safety, Josh moved closer to the sharkโ€™s belly and held on it. And within a few tries, Josh was able to pull-out the hook out of the lemon sharkโ€™s belly.

The one-of-a-kind and truly unforgettable encounter of Josh and the lemon shark which was captured in a video, went viral online.

People of the internet expressed their amazement of the way the lemon shark and Josh were able to communicate and understand one another. Some of them also shared their sentiments and sympathy for the poor lemon shark.

Indeed, in this world, no creature is too mighty to need help, nor any being too weak to be capable of helping, regardless of its species!
