Darren proposed to Tracy on Christmas day 2015, the very next day he suffered a stroke and the previous 10 years of memories were wiped out (including their entire relationship). He’s been on the road to recovery ever since, rebuilding their memories and relationship day by day.
Fast forward to now, they decided to surprise their closest family and friends with a wedding, disguised as Darren’s retirement party.
Normally weddings are filmed so couples can re-live their special day, but theirs was captured to help Darren remember it even happened as he still suffers from short term memory loss.
