Cop films pizza driver walking through snowstorm after $2 tip, so people stepped in

A pizza delivery driver in Indiana faced a dangerous snowstorm to make his delivery, only to receive a small $2 tip.

However, a kind police officer stepped in to offer support, showing appreciation for the driver’s hard work during such harsh conditions.

Lieutenant Richard Craig, widely recognized as “Officer Craig” on TikTok, posted a video documenting his interaction with Connor Stephanoff, a 20-year-old delivery driver for Rockstar Pizza in Brownsburg, Indiana.

The video, shared on the platform, highlights their exchange and has gained attention.

The video captures a snow-covered street, setting the scene for the harsh winter weather.

It focuses on a young pizza delivery driver who pushes through the storm to complete his work, demonstrating his dedication despite the challenging conditions.

“You delivering a pizza, bro?” Officer Craig asks Connor, who said yes.

Braving the snow in just sneakers and sweats, the delivery driver makes his way through the harsh conditions.

He tells Officer Craig he had to park down a snowy hill and walk the rest of the way. When asked about his tip, he simply replies, “Two dollars.”

Officer Craig was shocked by the small tip, pointing out that Connor had braved a snowstorm to deliver the pizza.

The pizza delivery driver explained that the total tip for the $40 order was only $2.15 before continuing his task.

In a follow-up video, Officer Craig explained that he couldn’t let the tip go unaddressed, so he gave Stephanoff $15 from his own money.

Officer Craig said he gave the tip because it was simply the right thing to do.

He then highlighted the large homes in the area, suggesting that the residents had enough money to offer a better tip. He called the situation “absolutely insane” and urged others to do better.

The comments section was filled with frustration over the small tip Connor received.

Many users expressed shock, with one pointing out that a $2 tip in such a neighborhood was unfair, especially for a delivery made in the snow.

Others called the tip “unacceptable,” stating that it would still be too low even in good weather.

Connor, who lives with his grandmother and borrows her car for deliveries, told TODAY.com that the conditions were harsh.

“The roads had no grip, and it was cold with snow falling nonstop,” he said.

Still, he explained that despite the challenging weather, he never considered not delivering the pizza, regardless of the tip.

Officer Craig started a GoFundMe campaign to raise a few hundred dollars for Stephanoff, aiming to provide additional support.

Rockstar Pizza also showed its backing by praising the pizza delivery driver on Facebook and sharing the fundraising link.

The restaurant’s owner clarified that no employees were forced to work in the bad weather and assured there would be no repercussions for deciding not to deliver.

“If I could raise $500 for this kid, that’s enough to make me forget some of the bad things that people had done, you know?” Officer Craig told TODAY.com, adding that he was blown away because when he checked the campaign the next day, it had unexpectedly reached about $1,500.

In just three weeks, Officer Craig’s GoFundMe campaign has raised over $41,000 from nearly 2,000 donations.

Connor first learned about the fundraiser when his grandmother mentioned it.

Initially, he didn’t think much of it, but as the donations grew, he realized how much support he had received.

“I was like, ‘Oh, this is real!'” he said.

Connor intends to use the money to buy his own car so he no longer has to borrow his grandmother’s.

He also plans to help her with bills. If there’s anything left, Connor hopes to save it for college, where he plans to study history or business.

Based on the generous support, Officer Craig noted that “good things come to good people who do the right thing.”

Here’s Officer Craig’s video showing pizza delivery driver Connor braving the snow for a $2-dollar tip:

@officercraig $2 TIP SHOULD BE A CRIME! Whoever did this: #SHAMEFUL ROCKSTAR PIZZA HAS A ROCKSTAR DRIVER. (Brownsburg, IN.) This guy is a RARE breed. During todayโ€™s all day snowstorm, crashes and slideoffs were coming in near 30 calls an hour. This school bus had a minor crash. The bus slid backwards and sideways down a hill and gets stuck, blocking this neighborhood street, and making it completely impassable. The roads were so bad, it took us 20 min. to get 3-4 miles. THIS #DELIVERYDRIVER pulled up before officers arrived. The delivery was about 1/4 mile past where the bus was blocking the street. This young man did not allow this to discourage him. He didnโ€™t call his manager to complain, he didnโ€™t call the customer and tell them their $40 pizza order could not be delivered. Oh no. THIS MAN IS BUILT DIFFERENT. He would not be discouraged by the obstacles he was encountering, which included a 1/2 mile hike round trip in the cold, wet snow. He parked his vehicle at the top of the hill, got out, wearing grey sweats, Nikes, and NO COAT nor GLOVES. He grabbed this #RockstarPizza, and took off hiking thru the very cold, and wet snow with the pizza in tow. It was the beginning of his shift at 4:30p on a Friday afternoon, BUT he was determined this family got their pizza. This is in a more affluent neighborhood, and Iโ€™m sure he thought he would be rewarded properly for his RARE display of PRIDE and DEDICATION to his work- that is often times not seen by some of his generation. But more so, he wanted to ensure this family got their pizza to their door! So they did not have to leave the confines of their warm, comfortable, AND VERY NICE home. He got my attention as I see him walking in the middle of street after he made the delivery. I said outloud โ€œwhat does this guy think he is doing?โ€ As I initially thought he was a neighbor coming to โ€œrubberneckโ€ the crash. The bus driver told me he walked by once and was delivering a pizza. I didnโ€™t believe that fully because what young pizza delivery guy in 2025 would do this??? None that I know! Not believing it completely, I hit RECORD and ask this young man. I was dumbfounded and in disbelief when he confirmed. But most of all – I was impressed- AND STILL AM! Iโ€™m proud to witness this firsthand. But my excitement and pride quickly turned to frustration when I asked him about his tip. WHO TIPS A GUY WHO RISKS EVERYTHING TO DRIVE FOOD TO YOUR DOOR LIKE THIS?? Let alone, gets out to hike it to you while every road was nearly impassable! I REALLY HOPE this algorithm is good enough that whomever DID THIS, SEES THIS! You should be ashamed of yourself whoever u are!! SHAME ON YOU. A $40 pizza delivered and a $2 tip! EVERYONE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD CAN AFFORD IT. AND IF THEY CANT, STOP ORDERING PIZZA YOU CANT AFFORD! After processing he only received $2, and what I just witnessed, I reached for my own wallet. To PAY THE TIP FOR SOMEONE THAT PROBABLY MAKES DOUBLE MY SALARY. But I did not want this young man discouraged. Unfortunately my wallet was in my Tahoe, which was at the top of the big hill. I quickly as I could chased him down up the hill giving him the little cash I had in my wallet. (About $15) HE DESERVED MUCH MORE. Not sure who this guy is, BUT IF YOU DO, PLZ TAG HIM, SHOW HIM SOME โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ AND GIVE HIM THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES! Well done sir.๐Ÿซก#IncredibleWork #Rockstar #Brownsburg #Indiana #delivery #Driver #snow #PizzaGuy #pizza @Dave Portnoy #LifeLawAndFootball #dedicated #workethic @Pat McAfee Show Clips โ™ฌ original sound – Officer Craig
