On the Eiffel Tower balcony, Céline Dion performs at the 2024 Olympics for over 300,000 people, including 10,500 athletes, celebrating her emotional comeback after illness.
Dion’s rare disease causes painful muscle spasms and stiffness in the body, making it difficult for her to control her voice. Still, she delivered a powerful rendition of “Hymne A L’Amour.”
Social media users lauded her performance, hailing her as an “icon and living legend.”

One X user wrote that after everything she’s been through, it’s incredible to see Céline Dion perform at the 2024 Olympics, adding that she’s still amazing.
While her performance was stunning, fans also noticed her pianist’s enthusiastic support.
One fan remarked that they hope to always have friends who support them, like Celine Dion’s pianist, who couldn’t stop fist-pumping.
Meanwhile, an emotional Kelly Clarkson was left speechless after Dion’s performance. Speaking live, she hailed the singer as a “vocal athlete.”

Céline Dion’s performance at the 2024 Olympics marked her return to the stage after a two-year hiatus.
Forced to cancel her world tour in January 2023 due to a diagnosis of stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, Dion’s appearance at the 2024 Games was a triumphant comeback.
Dion’s surprise Grammy performance earlier this year reignited fan excitement but left them wanting more.
In a June 2024 interview, the singer told Hoda Kotb she was determined to return to the stage.

“I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she told Hoda.
Dion, 56, revealed in December 2022 that she was stepping away from her career to address health issues caused by her diagnosis, according to CNN.
Her last live show was in New Jersey in March 2020.
