A Costco superfan had a blast when he was surprised with a Costco birthday party inside the wholesale store!
Emma Blevins, from Tennessee, surprised her husband Clint with a party at Costco, inspired by his frequent visits to the store for bulk items.
Emma Blevins arranged for their friends and family to be at the store on the party day, pretending to shop.
She captured Clint’s surprise in a TikTok video as he encountered familiar faces throughout the store.
“He thought it was a coincidence that everyone he knew was at Costco at the same time,” Emma captions the TikTok video. “He was immediately telling everyone about how weird it was.”
Clint Blevins became suspicious when he unexpectedly encountered a relative named Mammaw at Costco, as she doesn’t typically shop there.
“Ya’ll planned this,” Clint said in the video.
Clint Blevins was completely surprised when he arrived at the Costco food court and discovered his friends and family there, ready to celebrate his birthday with a cake and birthday music.
Towards the end of the Costco birthday party, a clown collecting donations for St. Jude’s showed up.
He performed in the Costco food court, entertaining Clint with pro wrestler impressions and giving him a balloon animal.
During the party, Emma recorded it to share with her sisters who were away.
Initially not planning to post it online, Clint suggested making it a TikTok, PEOPLE noted.
The video unexpectedly went viral, receiving over 9.3 million views overnight. Among the viewers was a store cashier who sang “Happy Birthday” at the party.
Emma was thrilled to reconnect with the participants through comments.
The cashier messaged her privately, and the local store prepared a birthday gift for Clint, which they planned to pick up that night.
Emma noted that Clint’s frequent visits to Costco made the surprise party idea perfect for their fun-loving nature.
“If you have a guy in your life who loves Costco – throw him a surprise birthday party,” Emma Blevins captioned the video, which now has over 1 million likes on TikTok.
This is not the first time a Costco fan threw a Costco birthday party.
Last year, TikToker Jasmine Pak’s Costco-themed party also became a viral sensation.
The celebration featured iconic elements from the big-box store, such as food court items, samples, and unique hot dog floats PEOPLE reported.
At the start of the video, she wrote, “Things from my Costco-themed birthday party that just make sense,” before showcasing the extensive array of food court staples.
The Costco-themed birthday party included a variety of classic Costco foods, such as rotisserie chicken Caesar salad, hot dogs, pizza, and churros, all labeled with Costco-style price tags.
Pool accessories like hotdog and pizza floats complemented the theme.
Jasmine also had a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, adorned with a “Happy Birthday Jasmine” sign that resembles the Kirkland Signature logo.
Guests dressed in themed outfits, with the birthday girl wearing a t-shirt depicting the famous $1.50 Costco hot dog and drink combo.
Some wore the classic red aprons and name tags, and one even distributed samples.
Another guest wore an orange safety vest and carried spare boxes, while others matched in red vests.
“Ain’t no party like a wholesale party,” she wrote in the caption, tagging Costco’s TikTok account and adding, “I love u.”
In 2019, Sebastian and Josie Gonzalez had a Costco-style party for their 1-year-old son.
Like Jasmine’s Costco-themed party, they served mostly Costco food, and each dish had a sign like the ones in the store.
Some signs were funny, like the meatball dish named after their son Mason.
They also gave guests Costco-themed decorations like shirts, aprons, and name tags.
