Rachel and Spencer Lampton from Minnesota shared their creative pregnancy announcement on social media.
Their video begins solemnly, resembling a divorce PSA, but turns joyful as they announce their decision to have a baby to shake up their good life.
“Me and Spencer have been married for almost four years now and it’s been so amazing in so many ways,” Rachel,24, said in the video. “But recently, it’s gotten pretty difficult.”
They admitted feeling overwhelmed by life’s pressures despite their deep love for each other, jokingly concluding they had been “too happy.”

The couple talked about their challenges. Spencer mentioned that having too much free time is exhausting, while Rachel expressed frustration, saying there’s only so much you can do before feeling overwhelmed.
Spencer, 26, humorously mentioned their “financial freedom,” saying they had too much money.
Rachel added that their beautiful, clean home drives her crazy. They both felt they “needed a change.
“Let’s f—- this s— up!” said Spencer.
The creative pregnancy announcement video then shifts to a fun mood as they show their sonogram, jump, and dance on a parking garage roof.

“F—ing up our lives in the best way we knew how,” read the text in the video.
Comments on TikTok and Instagram compare the video to film reviews, calling it award-worthy and full of surprises.
Rachel, 24, explained to TODAY.com that the video is a clear response to the many warnings about parenthood.
Spencer noted that they often hear reasons to wait to get pregnant, so they decided to use those reasons to go for it now since everything is “too” good.

Rachel, in her second trimester, finds it strange to be discouraged from planning their future, and sometimes the comments make her overthink their goals.
Rachel explained that while most young married couples face pressure to have a baby, they received the opposite advice, with people urging them to wait and warning that life would change.
One comment made her cry, as it felt like no one would be happy if they got pregnant, which she found discouraging.
The couple took charge by discussing potential challenges in their creative pregnancy announcement before others could.
“Prove the haters wrong,” says Spencer, adding, “We know we’ll be good parents.”

Their families are excited about the baby due in December, and everyone will wait to learn the baby’s sex, as Rachel loves surprises.
In a similar but unrelated story, a couple’s pregnancy reveal went viral last August when the soon-to-be mom’s brother hilariously mistook the reveal for their cat’s outfit, Good Morning America reported.
“Even like the 10th thing on my mind that they were gonna have a kid. Everything during that period with my family was about our cat because we just got this new cat and we were obsessed with it,” said Zack Johnson, soon-to-be mom’s brother.
Zack added that he and his family were having fun dressing up their new cat, which felt like a birthday present to him.
When he saw the baby onesie, he assumed it was for the cat, thinking it was perfect since he had been looking for Browns clothes for the cat.

“I thought, ‘Oh, this is perfect. He’s in town, so we can share that he’s going to be an uncle.’ I just assumed it would click for him right away,” the sister said.
That same year, their dad passed away unexpectedly. They had always been close, but big life events like that brought them even closer.
When Zack realized he was going to be an uncle and that his sister was pregnant, his reaction was a very special moment.
“The epitome of our family is the excitement, the silliness, and the pure love we all have for each other,” said Zack.
