CCTV captures moment mother dog brings her dying pup to the vet clinic with no human help

In a heartwarming scene captured on CCTV, a devoted mother dog braves a torrential downpour to carry her fragile pup in her mouth.

With unwavering determination, she carefully makes her way to a veterinary clinic in Turkey, ensuring the safety of her young one.

As per PEOPLE, a veterinary clinic in Istanbul shared a heartwarming story on Facebook about a stray mother dog, later named “Mom” by the clinic staff.

The video captured her courageously walking through the rainy streets of Beylikduzu, carrying her puppy in her mouth toward the clinic.

When she arrived, vet technician Emir quickly took action, carefully removing the puppy from her mouth.

Initially, Emir and a veterinarian were concerned that the male pup might not have survived.

“My friend Emir notices that there is a dog waiting outside the door,” Baturalp Dogan, a veterinarian at the Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic. “He opens it immediately and looks.”

Emir was initially confused when a dog arrived at the clinic, carrying a puppy in its mouth and dropping it on the ground.

The puppy seemed lifeless and cold, making it difficult to determine if it was alive.

Baturalp, recalling the incident, said Emir was about to pronounce the puppy dead when he suddenly detected a faint heartbeat through his stethoscope.

Baturalp recalled the moment he and his veterinary technician started working to revive the puppy.

“When I checked it with a needle, we noticed a very slow heartbeat,” he said.

Realizing there was still hope, he added, “That’s why I said, ‘It’s a hope, maybe he’ll live,'” Then they began their efforts to save the pup.

The team continued their efforts, giving the puppy an adrenaline shot and using a hair dryer to warm him up.

Throughout the process, Mom, the mother dog, remained close by, watching closely as she stood nearby, peering over the counter to watch her pup.

Baturalp confirmed that their efforts were successful, and the male puppy survived.

He also believed that the neighbor had brought in another one of her puppies earlier in the day, a male. The two were the only survivors from her litter of six.

Baturalp explained that Mom’s milk supply was insufficient, so the clinic has been supplementing the puppies’ diet with extra food.

The dog and her puppies are currently under continued care at the clinic, where their health is steadily improving.

“They are doing very well right now, they are in good health,” the vet said of Mom and her two pups. “They are getting better day by day.”

Video footage the shelter shares shows Mom nursing her two puppies, with all three growing stronger each day.

Although the progress is promising, Baturalp emphasized that it’s still too early to predict their long-term health. He remains hopeful that they will continue to improve as time goes on.

Meanwhile, social media users have strongly supported the family, expressing their hopes that the puppies and their mother will find a loving home.
