A minimalist tiny home in the autumn woods shines with style, with its light reflecting on the nearby lake, adding to the scene’s beauty.
Nixie’s home is a peaceful oasis amidst nature. Despite being near town and the beach, her home feels remote and serene.
“We’re really close to town here, only about 15 minutes to the beach. So, I get the best of both worlds. Easy beach access, but then we’re out here, and it’s just absolute paradise. It’s just me and my animals, and we love it.” she said.

Nixie decided to live in a tiny house after traveling in a Nissan Civilian bus for six months.
During her journey, she learned that having fewer things made her feel happier.
“I just realized how much space I didn’t need and how much stuff I didn’t want in my life anymore. So, when we came back, I sold everything and moved to the tiny house,” said Nixie.
Nixie lives off the grid, using a 6 kW solar system and a big rainwater tank with 10,000 liters to be independent of utility bills.
She values using resources wisely and feels empowered by her self-sufficiency.
