It is impossible to accommodate the growing number of homeless animals. Even if you’re a pet lover and wish to be the Mother Teresa of street animals, the numbers just won’t stop and you know it’s not that simple to keep all of them.
During the summer, these animals can take care of themselves. But when the cold season starts, that’s when they search for a shelter that can provide the warmth that they need. It is also unfortunate that during the cold season, it’s harder to look for food.
That’s why it’s no surprise that a cold, homeless cat begs to enter a house through the front door. Seeing the desperate look in the cat’s eyes, the house owner lets her in.
The cat was surprisingly friendly. She didn’t show any signs of hostility when the house owner stroked her head.
This was an unusual behavior for a cat because they’re usually prideful and it’s in their nature to avoid people, especially if they’re not familiar with them.
Other than the cold cat’s unusually friendly self, she was also extra warm towards the house owner.
When he let her in, the cat immediately went up to him for cuddles and seemed grateful for the owner’s gesture.
The house owner also observed that the friendly feline had unkempt fur, but other than this, he saw no problem because she was healthy and in good shape.
After a few days, the house owner noticed that the cat has been sleeping more than usual.
He also noticed that she was gaining weight. That’s when the house owner realized that the cat was pregnant.
Shortly after this realization, the cat gave birth to three beautiful and healthy kittens. No wonder the mother cat was begging to enter the house.
She knew she had to do something to keep her baby kittens healthy. Thanks to the house owner’s kind and heartwarming gesture, these kittens were able to enter the world safely and healthily.
According to the house owner, the kittens are now ready to go to their new homes for adoption.

Based on research conducted by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year.
Of those, approximately 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats. Approximately 3.2 million shelter animals are adopted each year (1.6 million dogs and 1.6 million cats).
These numbers are overwhelming, that’s why animal organizations have been continually encouraging pet enthusiasts to choose adoption over purchasing animals in pet stores.
Not only do they contribute to lessening the number of homeless animals, but you are also giving a home to innocent loving creatures that will surely light up your own home.
It is also encouraged that given the opportunity, it is best to have your pets neutered because not only do they make your pets healthier, but it also stops the unnecessary growth in the animal population.
There are so many ways to help. You can go to your nearest adoption centers and animal shelters. Your new furry friend might be waiting for you.
