No words can describe how painful it is for a mother to lose a child. No matter how long it has been, the pain of a mother’s wounded heart do not simply fade away.
When Marie Robinson, a 45-year-old loving mother from Waterlooville, Hampshire, lost her beloved four-year-old son, Jack, the mother was inconsolable, Three years after losing Jack to Brain tumor, Marie visited Jack’s grave and asked in tears if her boy could give her a sign.
Not long after, a beautiful small robin flew by and landed on Marie’s foot.
According to Marie, her boy, Jack, was only 4-years-old when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Four months after, Jack passed away and left a grieving family, a twin brother named Liam, and her three older sisters.
On his death anniversary, Marie together with the family dropped by the cemetery and visited Jack’s grave. Marie shared that she prayed for a sign before visiting her son’s grave.
As if her son heard her wish, a small robin, which is associated with death and a representation of the afterlife, landed on her foot and quickly flew towards her hand as well.
Spiritual Centre stated on its website that a robin is a bird that can be taken as a sign that: Someone who passed may be showing you that you are being watched, letting you know that they still love you.
“He didn’t seem scared at all,” Marie recounted the touching moment with Mirror Online. “He went and sat on a nearby headstone so I got my phone out to film him being close to me and he flew over and landed on my hand.”
“You’re beautiful, you’re so sweet.” Marie can be heard saying in the video, as if she was talking to Jack.
The beautiful and touching encounter was captured in a video and was posted on Marie’s Facebook account along with the caption of:
“Can’t believe what’s just happened come to see my precious boy jack just sat down on the ground next to him and this happened. Yes, it brought me to tears. taking it as a sign from Jack.”
Whether signs like what Marie experienced is real or not does not matter. At the end of the day, a grieving mother is assured that her beloved son, who is now an angel, is watching over her.
