Maybe A Happy Ending Doesn’t…

Maybe a happy ending doesn’t include a guy, maybe… it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is… just… moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope. — [from the movie, He’s Just Not That Into You]

Hey Amar,

This quote is from the movie *He's just not that into you,* which was written by a man and a woman! Some of the blogs' messages, like this one, I don't really identify with either - but I think it's important to include material that appeals to many audiences. Sometimes the things we read that really make us uncomfortable are the messages we need most.

Midterms are over.. although I don't know if you remember much from any math classes- the tests never end! Basically biweekly testing; definitely leaves no room to fall behind. Increased studying is difficult because it irritates my back. Regular exercise helps a lot.

Your blog writing aspirations sound good. The six week vacation piece is dead-on! There are so many aspects of North American culture that continue to operate based on very, VERY misleading (misinformed) common sense notions of profitability. While greed expects the economy to respond lucratively to profit driven operators, it doesn't! ...and it won't. A nation's wealth is made up of human interactions and humans need to be treated humanely to prosper - in turn, producing a prosperous economy. Economics is just as much about nourishing a spirit of care and concern for one another as it is about returning record breaking profits. -end rant- :)

Remember, the spoon full of sugar is literally what the latest research would point to for making us more sick! But I know what you're saying, finding the sweet spot to balance the social justice fulcrum will assist in speaking to a greater audience. I hope that all is well and your quest to be more present is still important to you. I don't know about you, but I'm not enjoying winter even a tiny bit this year!

Stay warm,

Martha

My hope, for a better life and all my books, may fail. However, at the end of the day. I am more then happy to be a disabled. Because, I can actually close my eye's and know in my soul, they will open again. Blessed be, All the great kindness of everyone around the world. Whom, have taught me not to give up on myself. Especially in small town's and big city's and all country's. I Love everyone, of my past, present, and future. :)
