Man protects his chocolates from fiancée by putting a ‘safety box’ in their refrigerator

Have you ever seen a safety box inside a refrigerator? For Dave Williams, he found it necessary to put one in theirs just to keep his fiancée from exhausting his chocolate supply!

Everyone has a favorite snack that they just can’t bear to share with anybody. For most people, it’s those sinful, greasy potato chips and guilt-inducing chocolate. In Dave’s case, it is definitely the latter, and his fiancée, Stacey Lowe, was not too happy about what he did to keep his goodies for himself.

Stacey took to Facebook to share what her future husband had done, and the internet thought it was hilarious.

“So this is what it has come too! You buy a house together, have a child together, get engaged, are planning a wedding and doing your house up and this happens!” she wrote, alongside photos of a safety box in their refrigerator containing chocolates.

She eventually edited the post to include a link to Amazon for the benefit of those who wanted to buy one for themselves. Stacey said that she might get herself one in the future, as she says “two can play that game!”

“I laughed at first, but then told him it’s like torture because I can see what’s in there,” Stacey told The Sun. “It’s like showing me what I can’t have. He’s saying he’s going to get another one for the cupboard now for his crisps and sweets.”

Stacey is a self-confessed chocolate lover, saying that the sweet treat is her weakness.

“We are both foodies but I can’t resist chocolate,” she said. Stacey admits that she tends to steal Dave’s candy especially during the late hours of the night when she gets up to feed their one-year-old baby. Noticing that his dessert supply was growing smaller day by day, Dave came up with the perfect solution by putting a safe in their refrigerator where he could keep all his chocolates!

Stacey hasn’t cracked the code to the dessert safe yet, but she is confident that she will get access to the snacks eventually. “I know if I haven’t got any chocolate he will give in and share if I’m desperate, just to keep me quiet,” she said.

Stacey’s post gained so much attention, that their ‘snack feud’ got a second chapter. Lockabox, the company that sells the safe, sent Stacey gifts to thank her for the free publicity that their product got from her hilarious post.

“How the tables have turned,” she wrote, flaunting images of the gifts she received from Lockabox.

We’re guessing this soon-to-be-married couple is going to have more chapters to their snack feud now that they have multiple safes in their house!
