These kittens gave cuddle therapy to the officer who saved their lives

Everyone needs cuddle therapy! And this might be the cutest feline rescue story ever!

Two police officers from Texas just finished responding to a shoplifting alert at a local TJ Maxx  when they received another call for help from a bystander. The individual reported that there were two tiny kittens stuck under a car in the store’s parking lot.

The officers immediately went to check the vehicle, and they instantly heard muffled meowing from underneath it.

“They located the kittens inside the bumper where most likely the mother cat had placed them for some reason. The owner of the car advised she did not own a cat and had no idea how the kittens got in there,” Jesse Minton of the Arlington Police Department told The Dodo.

Once they located exactly where they are, Officer Bob Joe Adkins proceeded to reach underneath the car and carefully retrieved each tiny kitten.

As soon as he got them out, Officer Adkins took them back with him to the police car and held them, letting them feel that they are safe and loved.

And the rescue kittens absolutely loved him! To say thanks, they gave their rescuer a cuddle therapy. They cuddled with the kind cop and curled up on his chest, obviously enjoying being in the arms of their new companion.

Afterwards, the police officers took them to the veterinarian for a check-up. It was determined that the kittens were only 6 weeks old and were in fairly good condition despite the lack of care from their mother.

Since they have no idea how long the kittens had been there, the officers assumed that they were feeling extremely hungry, so they fed them some formula milk from a tiny bottle.

With every passing minute, the two rescuers were falling in love with the adorable kitties – but more so did Officer Atkins.

And from their behavior, it’s safe to assume that the kittens felt the same way with him, and it wasn’t long before he decided to officially adopt them. Officer Adkins might even name them “TJ” and “Max” – witty!

The two kittens are now settling well into their new home with their new dad, who now receives cuddle therapy whenever he needs it. Although Officer Adkins hadn’t planned on taking in two more family members, those cuddles were just so irresistible that he couldn’t bear to let go of them anymore!
