As the old saying goes ‘the apple does not fall far from the tree,’ some people believe that the behavior of the children is the perfect reflection of their parents.
Hence, when a school bus driver witnessed how different two of the children riding the bus treated a fellow child, she felt the need to commend their parents for raising such wonderful kids.
Children are adorable and a great source of joy. They are innocent and blunt – saying what is going on inside their mind without any filter at all.
However, there are times when their innocence make them ignorant of the consequences of their actions.
They do not fully understand how the words they are saying could make or break the people around them.
Being a school bus driver, Cindy Clausen had a fair experience of witnessing how ruthless children be, even if they do not mean to, to people who are different from them.
Thus, when two children named Annaliese and Jorge who are siblings showed genuine kindness to Jackson, a fellow kid who has a disability.
Rather than following the examples of the other children, the sister and brother in tandem chose to stand up for Jackson.
They approached him, sat with him, and befriended him to make him feel that he is not different from the other kids his age. Not only that, the two siblings also offered to assist Jackson all throughout their way home.
Taken a back by the kind heart and compassion these two kids showed towards Jackson, Cindy Clausen wrote a letter to Annaliese and Jorge’s parents to let them know that they have raised their kids well.
“I am compelled to write to tell you how beautiful your children are, inside and out! This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach.
I have a child on my bus named Jackson. Both of your children have shown him so much compassion and support. Every day your children ask if they can sit with Jackson.
Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Annaliese and Jorge he smiles. Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat.
Today Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, ‘come on Jackson, you can do it” and when we arrived at school, Jackson took it upon himself to carry out his backpack!
I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I wanted you to know that it shows!”
Cindy shared the content of the letter she had written to LoveWhatMatters. Since then, the letter went viral and received praises and respect from people across the globe.
Annaliese and Jorge’s parents, Jorge and Leonor, were more than happy to hear that their children are not only smart but kind and compassionate as well.
The proud parents are pleased to hear that the values they are teaching Annaliese and Jorge are truly instilled in their hearts and manifest through their actions.
Truly, Annaliese and Jorge’s story is a testament that love, kindness, respect, and compassion begins at home. If our home is filled with these positive values, nothing negative will resonate from us.
Kudos to Jorge and Leonor for doing a great job in nurturing and rearing the future of our nation!
