I know people who feel like they’ve wasted years of their lives because of poor choices. They spent years in a relationship that was toxic, years with an addiction, years at a job where they weren’t fulfilled. But you have to realize, nothing you have been through is ever wasted. Your past experiences, good and bad have deposited something on the inside of you. Those challenges have sharpened you, to make who you are today. — Unknown

It is true. However, it is very difficult to believe if as a result of a lifetime of stress and clinical depression, you have become mentally broken down to the point where simply surviving becomes an almost unbearable burden. I work, pay the bills and repeat. It takes everything I have to do that. Without the strength and determination I have developed, like a muscle that gets exercised constantly, I could never have made it this far (60yrs old). But just like that over worked muscle, it serves it's purpose, but then the tendon it's attached to gives out and the once very strong muscle cannot operate. Weariness and sets in eventually if after so very many years if there is never a break for very long. Fact, unfortunately.

All things work together for the good to those who love the Lord who are called according to His purpose. As long as you remain submitted to the purposes of God things will always work out.
