This Airbnb is a working alpaca ranch you can stay at for $74 a night

Airbnb and alpaca – two things that you might not associate together. But hey, life is strange!

Each one of us plays different adulting roles every single day. Most people get busy with work, others spend time with their families, and some allot time for their studies – basically, all of us have a lot going on in our lives.

Sometimes, we get exhausted and burnt out and we feel the need for some R&R – a time away from the city’s hustle and bustle and a time to reconnect with nature. We do this to let go of some steam, so we can face the new week ahead recharged.

Picture this: you wake up from an 8 hour sleep one weekend, in an affordable room (check!), serene surroundings away from the city noise (check!), and your empty stomach growling. You go outside your room and you are welcomed by yummy breakfast treats such as a variety of breads, bagels, fruit, and yogurt courtesy of your host (check!). You decide to wander on the patio outside to smell the fresh morning air (check!) and as you stretch, you set your eyes onto adorable and silently grazing alpacas (check!) Wait.. what? Did you just see alpacas?

Yes – alpacas!

If this scenario tickled your fancy, then you are up for a treat! Just 10 minutes away from downtown Paso Robles is a private room that you can rent on a working alpaca and organic almond ranch through Airbnb. The lovely place is owned by Daphne, who is a superhost on Airbnb. The listing states that 2 guests are allowed to stay in the private room which also has a private entrance and bath just across the hall.

Aside from the beautiful view, the room is also equipped with basic amenities such as Wifi, Direct TV, clot, and luggage racks, among others. There are also board games, playing cards, and books available. In addition, coffee, tea pots, and refreshments are also provided for the guests. Oh, and did I mention free parking?

She also reminded her guests that the location is not walking distance to town, but the commute is easy should you decide to go out and use your ride-sharing apps. Country roads can also be dusty during the dry months and the roads around the property are gravel, so it’s necessary to wear flat shoes.

Feeding and petting the alpacas are not the only highlight of the stay according to reviews left by previous guests. Daphne also has other furry pals which are just as sweet.

One review from a former client named Scott says: “We had a great time with the alpacas but the dogs and cats tried to steal the show and definitely stole our hearts.”

Here’s another review from a guest named Susan: “We spent the day hiking , feeding the alpaca, and hanging out with all the animals. Lana their dog even went on our whole hike with us, she was awesome!”

Guests also appreciated how warm, gracious, and helpful Daphne and her husband Ray are. They were very hands-on when it comes to entertaining their guests.

Nicole’s review read: “Ray was so sweet to take all that time in the morning to show us around and chat with us before we left for our hike.”

So to all the animal lovers out there who are up for a quick getaway, Daphne’s place might be the perfect one for you. The rate for the Airbnb starts at $74 per night, and another fun way to stay on her ranch is via her new spacious 38′ RV! For a group of 5 pax with 2 bedrooms, 3 beds and 1 bath the RV is available for $75 per night. Amazing view, pleasant accommodations, cute four-legged friends for these rates – not bad at all, right?!
