Stan was born in New York City, to Celia (Solomon) and Jack Lieber, a dress cutter. His parents were Romanian Jewish immigrants. Lee co-created Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, Thor, the X-Men, and many other fictional characters, introducing a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books.

Stan Lee died today, but he will forever live on through the immortal characters he created. These superheroes gave us hope. They tell us that as human beings… we can do so much better. Growing up for millions became more magical because of the stories he wrote, and these stories became blockbuster movies. It has become a tradition for Marvel to include Stan Lee in their films, some people actually wait when he will suddenly show up. This goes to show how much Stan Lee was recognized and respected by his peers.
